Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Print Newspaper Home Delivery Home Distributor Liaison to support and our oversee daily distribution operations. This role is responsible for monitoring delivery performance, analyzing service data, coordinating with 15+ New England third-party service providers/partners, and ensuring high standards of customer service and operational efficiency for our New England print newspaper distribution footprint.

Key Responsibilities
Distribution & Operations Management
- Monitor daily dispatch updates and delivery performance across multiple regions
- Analyze service metrics and identify trends impacting delivery quality
- Track and evaluate third-party distribution partner performance
- Maintain accurate operational records and reporting systems
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Review and analyze customer complaints using internal reporting tools
- Create and maintain dashboards, including pivot tables and tracking reports
- Prepare and distribute weekly and year-to-date service performance summaries
- Validate data accuracy for invoicing and operational reporting
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Serve as the primary liaison with distribution partners and vendors
- Lead regular operational meetings and conference calls
- Review and approve invoices and ensure alignment with contractual agreements
- Monitor compliance with fuel surcharge and other contractual terms
Customer Service & Escalation Management
- Investigate and resolve escalated service issues, including delivery verification and refund requests
- Manage high-priority and VIP customer concerns
- Coordinate communication with customer service teams regarding service disruptions or changes
- Track and respond to external complaints, including postal-related issues.
Operational Support & Incident Management
- Coordinate response efforts during service disruptions (e.g., weather delays, delivery interruptions)
- Communicate updates to internal stakeholders and customer service leadership
- Compile impact reports and summarize operational events
- Support distribution adjustments, including route changes and service suspensions
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Review weekly invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy
- Audit distribution-related financial data and identify discrepancies
- Monitor and reconcile additional fees or adjustments related to operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in print newspaper logistics, operations, or distribution is required.
